Agile Software Development gathers world experts in Porto

The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) will host the XP 2018, running from 21 to 25 May. This event is jointly organised by FEUP and by Agile Alliance.

This is the 19th International Conference on Agile Software Development and the topics under discussion are the definitions and methodologies used in software development and the close cooperation of all parties of all life cycle phases of a project.

This important area of debate will gather researchers, computing engineers, influencers, teachers and experts, who will share their views and best practices on Agile Software Development.

This event will also be an opportunity to networking among lectures and to showcase research results or other scientific or technical knowledge and future trends.

The presentation sessions will be highly interactive offering technical tutorials and participative workshops.

Some of the confirmed speakers include Laurie Williams, Computer Science Professor at the University of North Carolina, Cristina Videira Lopes, Computer Science Teacher at the University of California, and Kent Beck, the creator of the Extreme Programming Methodology of the Three Rivers Institute and one of the signatories of the Agile Manifesto.
