Pedro Ramalho was crowned champion of the ADXC 5, held in Abu Dhabi, one of the most important events of the year in the world of jiu-jitsu and grappling. In the final, the athlete, supported by the municipal programme for Sponsorship of High-Performance Athletes and High-Potential Athletes by the Porto City Council, defeated the Swedish competitor Max Lindbland.

Pedro Ramalho, also known as "Paquito", is an athlete with the Focus Jiu Jitsu HQ team and his victory in the capital of the United Arab Emirates underlines his talent and dedication, consolidating his position on the international jiu-jitsu scene. The Portuguese athlete is a two-time world jiu-jitsu champion in two of the three most important competitions in the world - the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship and the JJIF (Jiu-Jitsu International Federation).

This world wrestling championship, which took place at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, featured global stars such as Chad Mendes and Urijah Faber, both former UFC fighters, Brazilian fighter Bibiano Fernandes and Rayron Gracie, representative of the Gracie family, pioneers of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
