Best Flash Mob ever at Bolhão Temporary Market on 2 May

At 11.30am, on 2 May, a Flash Mob will take over the Bolhão Temporary Market. This event is aimed at highlighting the date the construction works started. Concurrently, other events will take place to mark this important date: the day things actually started to change regarding the centennial building in Porto, which will host both sellers and buyers. 

The date was May 2 2018, the day the Bolhão Temporary Market opened doors, with the illustrious visit of the President of the Republic, who accompanied Mayor Rui Moreira to the temporary facilities.

One years past, it's time to celebrate such an important enterprise for the city of Porto and for everyone involved, including sellers, buyers, citizens, tourists, and visitors.

Between 8am and 11am, fruit will be offered for free in the enveloping surroundings of the Bolhão Market, in the Temporary Market, and by the São Bento Train Station.

The FlashMob takes place at 11.30am, promoted by Casa da Música with much fanfare and the participation of traders, staff and customers.

Thursday also marks the debut of an initiative that will go on until 10 May: everyday, at 5pm, a "Tuna Universitária" will perform at the Bolhão Temporary market.

Refurbishing works continue at an exceedingly good pace in Bolhão, one day closer to returning to a fresh and renovated building.
