Best Buildings Travel Award 2019 is from the University of Porto

André Furtado, PhD student at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) won the Buildings Travel Award 2019, and international recognition for the best research work performed by students in the field of buildings.

The Buildings magazine is a scientific international journal specialized in the fields of civil engineering and architecture. The prized work concerns the assessment of seismic vulnerability of reinforced concrete buildings with insulated walls and reinforced solution development.

"This is a rather easy method to implement by the user and the main goal is to perform the size and the scaling of new concrete buildings, considering the insulated walls", explains André Furtado.
