Best Of Wine Tourism winners announced

The six winners of the Best Of Wine Tourism 2018 were announced in Porto. This prize aims at honouring excellence and innovation in the wine tourism sector.

Porto played host to this event as a Great Wine Capitals Global Network member, an organisation that aggregates 10 cities and the corresponding wine-growing areas, considered the best in the world.

After the evaluation process of applications, the regional winners of the Best Of Wine Tourism 2018 prizes in the different categories are Carmo's Boutique Hotel (Accommodation Category), Restaurant Cais da Villa (Wine Restaurant), Casa do Rio - Quinta do Vallado (Architecture and Landscape), Promotion and Interpretation Centre of Vinho Verde (Art and Culture),  Cálem Wine Cellars (Innovative experiences in Wine Tourism), Cooltour Porto (Wine Tourism Services) and Monverde Wine Experience Hotel (Wine Tourism Sustainable Practices).

From these winners an overall winner will be selected by an international jury of the Best Of Wine Tourism, in the context of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network Annual general Meeting. This meeting will be held in Valparaíso, in Chile.

The overall winner will be announced on 9 November at a ceremony attended by the delegates from the World's Greatest Wine Capitals, namely from Adelaide (Australia), Bilbao (Spain), Bordeaux (France), Mainz (Germany), Mendoza (Argentina), Porto (Portugal), S. Francisco (USA), Valparaíso (Chile) and Verona (Italy).
