Projects of 14 artists and collectives are part of the "Live Uncertainty: An exhibition from the 32nd Biennale of São Paulo", showcased in Serralves until October.

Paintings, sculptures, videos and installations are dispersed throughout the Serralves Museum and Park, conveying the excellence of a partnership between Fundação Bienal de São Paulo and the Serralves Foundation.

The exhibition opened last Friday, by the President of the Republic, who declared at the occasion that the sterling work done by Serralves "honours Porto and in doing so it is a matter of national pride and the two cannot be separate from one another".

This ceremony was also attended by Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, and several distinguished personalities.

The exhibit that is hosted by Serralves Museum and Park is the extension of the 32nd Biennale of São Paulo's "Incerteza Viva [Live Uncertainty]" project that was showcased in Brazil between September and December 2016. According to Fundação de Serralves, "this exhibit is about furthering the impact and comprehensiveness of the Biennale and highlighting the compromise between both institutions regarding disseminating contemporary art at a global level".

"Live Uncertainty: An exhibition from the 32nd Biennale of São Paulo" was reconfigured in accordance with the unique setting of the Museum and the Park in the city of Porto. The works that are showcased comprehend the central concepts of the exhibit that was held in Brazil, namely "an afterthought on the current life conditions and how contemporary art deals with uncertainty".

Five pavilions were commissioned to Architecture Studios in Porto for the presentation of these works.
