Casa da Música hosts three free concerts on World Children's Day

The concerts are cost free and mark the World Children's Day this Friday, 1st June, as well as the beginning of the summer scheduling season at Casa da Música.

For a period of three months, Casa da Música (CdM) will deliver more than 150 shows and performances, 65 of which free of charge.

"Os meus direitos" [My rights] is the name of the concert that will run on a continuous mode at Casa da Música Esplanade, between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 2 pm and 4 pm, giving it a didactic dimension, by means of magic to promote children's rights.

Also on Friday evening, the Brazilian project Criolina, from Maranhão, delivers a show to the beat of sound system, and the afrobeat, the merengue, the drum-of-Creole and a mix of contemporary electronic beats and global tunes such as funk, rock, ska, among others.

Saturday, 2nd June CdM features the concert "Bruckner's Impulse" by the Symphonic Orchestra Casa da Música conducted by Leopold Hager, starting at 6 pm. Sunday, also at 6 pm, the Casa da Música Choir will perform "Sun and Storm" directed by Nicolas Fink, which includes music pieces by Johannes Brahms, Florent Schmitt and Lili Boulanger.
