A 10 thousand square meters structure is going to be set up in the City Park, in which 8 thousand meters are roofed to host the 42nd edition of Portugal Fashion in Porto.

The venue, which has been named "fashion city", will gather hundreds of people from the fashion industry, where established designers and new designers will present their Fall-Winter collections.

As usual, Portugal Fashion takes off in Lisbon on 17 March, however, the most part of the fashion shows take place in Porto on 22, 23 and 24 March.

The novelty about this 42nd Portugal Fashion edition is that, for the first time, fashion shows will happen at the City Park (aka Queimódromo), a large open space with a panoramic scenery, "in line with what happens in London, New York and Paris, where designers choose removable outdoor runways", Portugal Fashion's Communications Director stated to Lusa News Agency.

Thousands of viewers are expected to flock to the City Park, and according to the organisation, "this is an amazing option" as it enables testing this new "City of fashion" concept, especially put in place for Portugal Fashion.

The Programme and schedule of fashion shows will be announced shortly.

Portugal Fashion is produced by the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), jointly with the Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, cofinanced by Portugal 2020, in the framework of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation - Compete 2020, and financed by the European Commission through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
