The initiative "Havia um OVO, eu vi-o" [There was an EGG, and I saw it] is the suggested activity at Bolhão Temporary Market to celebrate Easter, on 13 April, starting at 3pm.

Entrance, as usual, is free. No prior registration is required.

Easter eggs are common during the season of Eastertide (Easter season). Modern customs are to replace chocolate eggs wrapped in coloured foil, but the oldest tradition was to use dyed and painted chicken eggs.

The egg has long been a symbol of 'fertility', 'rebirth' and 'the beginning', associated with the Christian festival of Easter.

All ages of the population, young and old alike are invited to a hands on experience in crafting eggs for Easter. The workshop is conducted by the Talkie Walkie and Patrícia Prata.
