The "Batucada Radical" Carnival Parade kicks off on 2 March, at 3 pm, at Jardim da Cordoaria. The streets of Porto will host public celebrations, parties and other entertainments, combining merriment and revelry.

Each year, more people participate in the celebration of this typically event that occurs during February or early March, which is historically known as Pre-Lent.

The parade is scheduled to start at 3 pm, at Jardim da Cordoaria, and for two hours carnival revellers, wearing a mask or not, will stroll through Clérigos Street and 31 de Janeiro Street, heading to Batalha Square.

This initiative is jointly organised by PortoLazer and the Museu do Carro Elétrico [Electric Car Museum], which will provide a vehicle to transport the music band.
