The exhibit "Douro: an alchemy between air, land and river", on show at the Pasteleira Reservoir will remain on display until the end of August 2019, as it has been particular popular with the public. Entrance is free.

The display is a genuine showcase of Porto and the Douro Region heritage and landscape, which was acknowledged by UNESCO as world cultural heritage.

This very same exhibition was officially inaugurated on 4th October 2018 in Bordeaux, France, by Alain Juppé, Mayor of Bordeaux and former Prime Minister of France, and Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

The exhibit, curated by anthropologist Eglantina Monteiro and artistic director Nuno Faria, displays Porto and the Douro Region in all its glory.

"We have built this exhibit taking into account two dimensions, namely the material dimension, the land, the schist and the immaterial dimension, the spiritual, the sounds and the projected image; both give us the unique force of that landscape, which was man-made", explains Nuno Faria.

"This is a linear exhibit, because exhibits are not texts, in fact there are no texts in this exhibit, there is only a book. What we see here is the sharing of a landscape, where there's no divide between man and landscape", adds Eglantina Monteiro.

The exhibit is entrance free. It was inaugurated on 20 February, and it will remain on display until the end of August 2019.

Operating hours are from Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm.
