First edition of Porto Drum Show gathers three greatest drummers of all time

Germans Benny Greb and Claus Hessler and British Kaz Rodriguez will be in Porto for the premiere of Porto Drum Show, which will take place on April 1.

The fundamental goal of such event is to put Porto in the international scene of percussion events, in order to strengthen excellence and raise the level of excellence of Porto as a hosting city comparable with London (www.londondrumshow.com), Manchester (theukdrumshow.com) or Seville (tamtampercusion.com/drumfest/).

This first edition of Porto Drum Show is supported by Porto., and it will be held at CACE Cultural, in the Freixo/Campanhã district, gathering over 700 participants and more than 10 specialist companies.

The purpose is to make available to the public at large the most qualified professionals for the teaching of drums in the most different musical contexts.

The festival director, Hugo Danin, states that "we will bring to Porto the best academic and cultural educators in the percussion area as well as specialized companies, including sponsors, sales companies of musical instruments, and the makers of musical instruments.

This first Porto Drum Show will provide the one time opportunity to learn from Benny Greb, Claus Hessler and Kaz Rodriguez, some of the most important names of the percussionist milieu in recent years.
