Footb-all Mix exhibition to keep one's eye on the ball

The opening of the Footb-all Mix exhibition is scheduled for 14th June, at 3.30 pm, in the main hall of Porto City Council.
This original initiative assembles football themed posters by renowned designers from each of the 32 countries competing in the World Cup in Russia. 

This is a show of different interpretations regarding the "passion for the game". Some of the reputed designers of the Design International Scene include the following:

Neville Brody, from England, one of the best graphic designers of his time, who is also a printer and art director.

Currently, he is the Rector at the School of Communication of the Royal College of Art, in London. He has collaborated with The Face and Arena magazines. He directs Brody Associates - with offices in London, Berlin, Seoul and Tokyo. In addition, he has an important portfolio of customers, including Apple, BBC, The Times, Channel 4, Disney, New York Times and the English National Football Team.

Ken Cato, from Australia, is the founder and director of Cato Brand Partners. He was awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia in 2013 for his activity in the area of communication design. Some of his most reputed work are the brand Benq, the Qantas image or the visual narrative credits of the film Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007).

Ahn Sang-Soo, from South Korea, is one of the most influential Asian designers. Sang-Soo is also a printer and was vice-President of Icograda - International Council of Graphic Design Associations from 1997 to 2001.

He is most acknowledge for his revolutionary functional translation of Hangul, the traditional Korean alphabet, established in the middle of the 15th century. He has also edited over 15 books, namely an extensive and unique one.eye photo collection. Currently, he is developing an interface design for a Samsung Electronics wristwatch.

Pere "Peret" Torrent, from Spain, is a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer and sculptor. He was awarded with the Premio Nacional de Diseño, in 1998. His customer portfolio includes editors, advertising companies, public institutions and media related companies, such as Televisão de Barcelona and Canal+. He has worked for the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992, the Seville World Expo 1992, the Hannover World Expo 2000, the Zaragoza World Expo 2008 and Shanghai World Expo 2010.

The exhibit is curated by designers Susana Machicao, from Bolivia and Brazilian Felipe Taborda.
The exhibition is entrance free and it will be on show at the Porto City Hall main entrance from 14th June till 15th July.
