Francesinha in downtown Porto: savour it with passion

The vibrant Festa da Francesinha is here, in Porto! Starting today, 26 September and running till 6 October, at D. João I Square, and operating hours are from 7pm to midnight. Moday to Friday, entrance is free, from 12 o'clock till 5pm; outside these hours, entrance costs three euros and it includes one beer. 

This 11-day Festival of Francesinha, the iconic dish of the Invicta, offers a range of fabulous francesinhas' artisans, special guest chefs, delicious "let's see if mine is better than yours" Francesinha dishes served by 4 renowned restaurants in town.

Held at D. João I Square, in Porto, The Festival "Francesinha na Baixa" attracts visitors who want to take the journey to discover new and Artisan Francesinha recipes. This time round, four restaurants are preparing a tasty menu of Francesinhas to try and buy within the "Francesinha na Baixa" event, showcasing their culinary abilities in a gastronomic event that gathers some of the most renowned restaurants and breweries in the city of Porto.

Twenty new Francesinhas will be put to the test and tasting sessions will have live music to go with, on weekends.

Moreover, showcooking, entertainment and live music add to the festival's programme. Children up to 12 years old are entitled to free access.
