December in Porto really is the month of happy Holidays with Xmas carolling and Christmas lights, making Porto one of the best places to spend Christmas.

The cobbled streets of the Invicta are bursting with delicious bistros, the town is all merrily decorated for the festive season, showcasing Christmas markets, nativity scenes, natural ice-rinks and free concerts.

The Christmas Tree, set up at Aliados Avenue, twinkles blue and gold lights, everyday as of 5.30pm.

The "Natal a Rir" initiative offers one last performance later today, at 4.30pm, at Avenida dos Aliados, with the visual comedy "Ciro Cavallo Show", by Maurizio Marchetti, Italy.

This event is promoted by Porto City Hall, via the Municipal Company Ágora - Culture and Sports, and it is produced by the Cultural Association Gritodovento and artistic direction of Francesco Cerutti Nava.

The natural ice skating rinks inaugurated on 30th November in Mouzinho de Albuquerque Square (aka Rotunda da Boavista) and in Praça D. João I. These are optimal choices to be fit while having fun.

Also, the event "Natal à Porta", freely translated as "Xmas by the doorsteps" offers unexpected concerts in the most iconic buildings in the Invicta. The cycle "Natal à Porta" offers one last performance at Clérigos Tower balcony, later today at 4pm.

As usual, access is free.
