Happy New Year in Porto with the necessary precautions

All is set in Porto to ensure everyone stays safe while ringing in the New Year.

The City Hall has prepared a Mobility Plan: public transports are the most reliable way to go where the fun and excitement are, at Avenida dos Aliados. Buses, metro or even the train are the best options regarding mobility.

For those who wish to drive their own car, there is the Park & Ride modality, in connection with parking areas.

At a Press Conference, held this afternoon at the Centre for Integrated Management (CGI), the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira highlighted that the Mobility and Safety Plan for New Year's Eve is the result of the concerted operation between the Police Forces (PSP, Municipal Police, Fire-fighters Brigade, and Civil Protection), who share that venue since July 2015.

The Mayor further adds that the fundamental goal set four years ago, to make Porto an end-of-year celebration destination "was achieved".
