Have you already asked the City Hall for a tree?

Until March 21, Porto City Hall is giving away trees and bushes to all residents and companies or businesses based in the municipality of Porto, owning or managing a small garden or yard.

This is the 3rd edit of the Municipal Programme "If you have a garden, we have a tree for you". The programme's fundamental goal is to support tree planting and make the city become even greener, thus helping build a sustainable future.

This initiative is part of the municipal strategy regarding the Environment and the Adaptation to Climate Change and takes place within the FUTURO - the project of planting 100.000 new trees till 2020 in the Porto metropolitan area.

This edition offers 14 different species such as holly, myrtle, arbutus and laurel. All plants will be given away in pots to ensure the best possible conditions till the planting moment.

Over 3.800 trees have been gifted since the first edition of this municipal programme.
