Iberia strengthens daily connections between Porto and Madrid in 2018

Porto.

The airliner Iberia will strengthen the daily flights between Porto and Madrid, with two more daily frequencies offered and increase the number of seats available, announced today the company manager Célia Muñoz, at a press conference.

As of 25 March 2018, Iberia will fly on the Porto-Madrid route 50 times a week using A319 aircrafts, with bigger passenger capacity (up to 141 passengers, 41 more than at present).

The Spanish Airliner Iberia will increase passenger capacity with more 332.000 seats in the Porto Madrid route, showing an increase of 28%, in the same period of 2017.

We are adapting to market demand as passenger traffic has grown around 10% regarding business and tourist trips in the same route, in the period January-September 2017.

The company official has also stated that flight schedule enables flights from Porto to connect to 27 Spanish cities, via Madrid, 35 other European cities, 18 cities in Latin America, 5 in the USA, 8 in Africa and Middle East and 2 in Asia.

Iberia started operating the Porto - Madrid route in March 1982 and currently it is the company branch Air Nostrum operating the route in question.
