This year, International Children's Day is celebrated in the eastern part of the city. The Park of São Roque will play host to this special celebration, delivering three fat days of fun and excitement. From 1 to 3 June, the Children's Party has prepared a wide offer of sport and recreational activities, performances, workshops and exhibitions and even a market.

This event is free of charge, which will entertain both children and adults alike.

The aim of this year's celebration is the rediscovery of the Park of São Roque. There will be three routes set to explore the existing centennial trees or the camellias or the challenge of finding the way out of a mysterious maze.

The BTT trail is another option both for adventure and learning prevention road traffic regulations, kayaking in the lake, traditional games, jumping on a springboard, doing penalties shootouts, dance classes, karate and capoeira, the Brazilian martial art.

Besides this array of activities, there will be trial workshops for gardening, playing drums, building toys or constructing shelters for animals, painting ateliers, meditating or even cooking pizza.

There's plenty to do and see in this three-day event, organised by the City Hall every year and by Municipal Company PortoLazer, in the context of the International Children's Day celebrations, on 1st June.
