"The most relevant event linked to Italian culture in Portugal and one of the most appreciated cinema festivals in the country". That is the way the organisation describes the event on the festival's webpage.

This show will get on the road from 10 to 14 April, at Cinema Trindade. The main goal is that this "is a moment of meeting and discovery between the cultures of both countries, which despite distance are clearly close".

"Notti Magiche", by Paolo Virzí, is the kick-off screening to the Festival, at 9.30pm, on 10 April.

The following day, at the same hour, audiences can rejoice with the viewing of "Napoli Velata", by Ferzan Ozpetek.

On 12 April, movie sessions start at 7.30pm with the screening of "Come un gatto in tangenziale", by Riccardo Milani, and then "Metti La Nonna In Freezer", by Giancarlo Fontana and Giuseppe Stasi.

The Italian Movie Festival concludes on 14 April, in Porto, with the showing of the films "Querido Diário", "Made In Itália" and "Euforia".
