National premiere of "The Ballet of Paul Ace and Sunny Lovin" at Campo Alegre

"The Ballet of Paul Ace and Sunny Lovin" is the third performance that artists and performers Raul Maia and Thomas Steyaert take to the stage, at Campo Alegre, on 4 and 5 May at 5pm and 3pm, respectively.

The two performers, Portuguese Raul Maia, and Belgian Thomas Steyaert feature a performance based on a "nonrepresentational physical communication", meaning that the artistic practice is the source of all performed materials.

This work develops different forms of physical communication and language between performers, where acknowledged gestures are not included as each artistic practice is a fresh aesthetic experience.

The performance brings in objects that became animated as a result of the artistic dialogue between the artists.
