According to the general health bulletin, the Municipality of Porto does not report any new infection cases by the new coronavirus for four consecutive days, which is something that happens for the second time since the pandemic started.

The city of Porto falls now down to the fourth position regarding the number of Covid-19 infections per district, and reports almost half of the cases reported in Lisbon.

In the past 15 days, Porto reported a little over 60 cases, and the active cases in the city are rather small or non-existent. Lisbon leads the list of the Municipalities with higher incidence of contagion in Portugal, followed by Sintra, which surpassed Vila Nova de Gaia, which ranks third now.

The Northern Region reported 19 of the 421 cases reported in Portugal, according to DGS data. It is worth recalling that the Northern Region was the first to report Covid-19 cases, following the connections to a shoe fair in the Northern Italy. Porto was the first city to adopt lockdown measures, which were in place even before the Emergency State was declared.

Porto was also the first city in the country to establish a drive-thru Covid-19 testing in the City Park and the first municipality to set in motion a rigorous and comprehensive testing and screening for the new coronavirus in nursing homes.

Porto City Hall put in place the field hospital "Porto.", to support the public hospitals of the city. This mission hospital was dismantled but i tis now in standby.

The Municipality of Porto also donated dozens of ventilators to the city public hospitals.
