The "Noites no Pátio" [something like "Evenings in the yard"], at the Museum of the UP are on for a second edition, this month of September. Casa Comum of the University of Porto, which organises this initiative, has prepared an entire month of September (as in July), with an agenda to meet all tastes and to content all age groups, starting this 9th September.

This time round, the agenda includes scientific and cultural happenings, seventeen in total, to enjoy in the evenings this summer in Porto.

This second edition offers sketching Masterclasses, on 10th September, delivered by architect Telmo Castro; the comeback of the cinema cycle Kino Doc, on 11th September; the annotated session "Escondidos na Noite" is devoted to bats, and it is presented by Hugo Rebelo and Francisco Álvares, under the cycle "As Novas viagens philosophicas", on 12th September.

This second session takes place due to the success the first one achieved in July, with over 1500 people participating in the featured activities, which will, again, offer evenings of cinema, poetry, debates and drawing. It kicks off on 9th September, and are held between Tuesday and Saturday, starting at 9.30pm, at the MHNC-UP's yard. Entrance is free (by the Jardim da Cordoaria), upon prior appointment.

The only exception being the opening session, which will be held this Wednesday, 9th September. with a conference on Edison's phonograph, under the cycle "A Voz dos Objetos".

Safety measures are in place to make sure everyone complies with the guidelines by the Health authorities concerning the ongoing pandemic. As such, room availability is limited to a third of its capacity, hand sanitation is mandatory; mask faces are compulsory and shoes must be disinfected.
