Open Call for Art with HAPPY TOGETHER programme

For the third year running, Mala Voadora and the Culture Department of Porto City Hall join for the implementation of the HAPPY TOGETHER programme, in the context of the Forum of the Future.

The 2017 HAPPY TOGETHER edition prepares a Call for Art that will take place between July 4 and September 3, in order to select three objets d'art combining visual and performative arts, which will be presented in the Mala Voadora space facilities.

Each artistic proposal will be awarded an implementation grant, worth 1500 euros. The call is open to all artists residing in Portugal.

Besides this call for art, the Forum of the Future Programming includes two conferences featuring artist, technologist and philosopher Koert van Mensvoort and Voluntary Human Exctintion Movement activist, Les Knight.

The artistic proposals should relate to the theme of this year's Forum of the Future, "Electric Earth" highlighting the Anthropocene where social tensions have been changing the environment on a huge scale, interfering in the planetary balance.

Also, in addition to the topics of the Forum of the Future, the Call for Art can be based in the ideas exchanged by the two guest speakers, Koert van Mensvoort e Les Knight, namely the "Amazon" project by Mala Voadora.
