The Oscar winning film for Best Foreign Language film, by Chilean Director Sebastián Lelio, "Una mujer fantastica" [A fantastic Woman] is screened at Campo Alegre, at 6.30 pm and at 10 pm, on a daily basis.
A Fantastic Woman (2017) was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
The Municipal Theatre Campo Alegre features two daily sessions with a third session on the weekend, at 3.30 pm.
Marina is a trans woman and a waitress. Orlando runs a printing company and loves Marina. One evening, after celebrating Marina's birthday Orlando collapses. He is rushed to a hospital, but he doesn't make it.
Marina is viewed with suspicion both by the doctors and Orlando's family. Orlando's family hires a detective to investigate Marina and Orlando's ex-wife forbids her from attending the funeral. But Marina is a brave woman, she is a fantastic woman!
