Over the past years André Vicente Gonçalves has spent most of his time travelling around cities and towns to photograph Windows that express the local identity.

Windows of the World is the editorial project that this photographer is developing. A crowdfunding campaign is ongoing to tackle financial issues.

As stated by André Gonçalves, "each city has a unique identity", and each building "presents architectural and aesthetics variations".

It is this singularity within diversity that the photographer intends to portray in the first book of the series "Windows of the World", where he compiles 100 collections of photos from Portuguese cities, including Porto. Altogether, the book features 1200 windows.

"I am using crowdfunding to raise independent financing, so that my work is exclusively available from the author".

"If you are planning to visit Portugal, [with this book] you can have an idea on the type of architecture you like the most", André Gonçalves suggests.
