Porto expresses solidarity with the Ukrainian people

This Friday evening, the façade of Porto City Hall will be illuminated with the colors of the Ukrainian flag, as a show of solidarity towards the people of that country, following the recent Russian military invasion.

This public expression of support will be repeated on Saturday and Sunday. “Porto has always been a city of freedom and will never tolerate attacks against democracy”, highlights the Municipality.

Several cities around the world have shown solidarity with the Ukraine. In addition to Porto and Lisbon, in Portugal, the Brandenburg Gate, in Berlin, Germany; the façade of Downing Street, in London, United Kingdom; and Flinders railway station, in Melbourne, Australia, also lit up with the colors of the Ukrainian Flag.
