Porto City Hall spurs entrepreneurship as an economic stimulus

Porto City Hall will launch a competition to encouraging both national and international companies to invest in technology and innovation. 

Successful applications will be supported by the City Hall by a full ten thousand euros. The proposal of independent councilor, Filipe Araújo, will be submitted to the approval of the municipality on Tuesday. Each application should contribute to promoting entrepreneurship development as well as providing a more dynamic and active community, and thus support networking opportunities and grow a successful startup and scaleup community.

This process will take place in Porto, from May 27th to June 3rd 2017, during the Start & Scale week, an event that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship as an economic stimulus.

The municipality of Porto spurs entrepreneurs in order to develop small, medium and micro enterprises and nurture these into sustainable enterprises that can provide employment and contribute to economic growth.
