Porto fosters water innovation in September

The city of Porto, in Portugal will host the Water Innovation Week 2017 from 24 to 30 September. Porto will be the European capital of water and innovation, bringing together more than 1000 participants. 

For seven days, decision makers and technicians of utilities, political leaders, regulators, industry and agriculture representatives, investigators, tech companies, startups, SME's and investors will debate key issues in the water sector trying to bring to life pragmatic and innovative solutions for water challenges. 

This initiative will be held at the Customs building - Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, and it comprises three major events, namely, The "EIP Water Conference" and the "Mayors & Water Conference", sponsored by the European Commission, and the "Water Innovation Lab Europe", conceptualized by the Canadian company Waterlution. 

A common initiative themed Water & People will be deployed in order to involve the general population around the issue of "Water and Innovation". Several activities will take place in downtown Porto and in AquaPorto, on 29th and 30th September in the City Park.

All activities are free of charge, with the exception of "Water Innovation Lab Europe Porto" and the "Innovation Dinner".
