Porto Street Stage 2018: a thriller race downtown Porto on 18 May

The Porto Street Stage with a two kilometres journey is a stage of the world championship Rally de Portugal. It takes place on 18th May in downtown Porto.

The race starts in the end of Avenue Dom Afonso Henriques and finishes nearby Porto Appeal Court, next to the Cordoaria Garden. The novelty this year is that the route includes the Clérigos area, whilst the Trindade area will not be included this year.

Pilots will go down Avenida dos Aliados. The rally stage continues towards São Bento Station and Sá da Bandeira Street, an area that is off-limits to the public for safety reasons.

The first start point of Porto Street Stage will be located in the upward area of Avenida dos Aliados, where the point-to-point format is located.

A large audience is expected in Porto as this is a very popular stage of Rally de Portugal.

As in 2016, pilots of the Porto Street Stage 2018 will compete twice as this became a stage of the world championship rallies (WRC).

The areas accessible to the public and stands will be extended and mobility in the city will be further improved so that this is really a thriller race both for the public and for the pilots.
