Queer Festival in Porto till 8 October

Queer Porto - International Queer Cinema Festival is back. Till Sunday, 8 October, numerous events will be held at various Porto venues, but Rivoli is the centre stage of this festival.

This event kicks-off 3 October with the opening of the artistic project Wonders Wander, by media artist Shu Lea Cheang for Madrid Pride 2017, starting at 6 pm at the Wrong Weather Gallery.

Till October 8th, other works from Queer cinema and culture will be presented throughout the city experimenting in different artistic languages and forms, closely communicating with the sector of cinema.

The Queer Porto Festival includes full-length feature film or documentary competition. Both sessions will take place in Municipal Theatre Rivoli and also a competition of School films production.

The screenings of short films, video-installation and performances take place at malavoadora, Maus Hábitos and Wrong Weather Gallery.

The Festival will be attended by the directors of some of the films screened.
