Quinta do Vallado from Portugal awarded Best Of Wine Tourism 2018 in Chile

The Casa do Rio - Quinta do Vallado won Best Of Wine Tourism 2018. 

The international winners of the Best Of Wine Tourism 2018 awards were announced during the General Assembly of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network, which was held in Valparaiso, in Chile.

This Portuguese vineyard from the Douro region had already won Best Of in the Architecture and Landscape category, when the event was held in Porto.

Besides Porto, this list includes Penfolds Magill Estate from Adelaide / South Australia - Australia; Bodegas Ollauri Conde de los Andes de Bilbao / Rioja - Spain; Château de Reignac de Bordeaux - France; Weingut Neus, Mainz / Rheinhessen - Germany; Wine Rock - Monteviejo and Park Hyatt Hotel de Mendoza - Argentina; Etude Winery de San Francisco / Napa Valley - USA; Estancia El Cuadro de Valparaiso / Casablanca Valley - Chile; and Zeni 1870 from Verona - Italy.

These international winners have been selected among the winners of each region by the international jury and were announced during the official ceremony that took place in Chile. 

Porto was represented by the councillor for Economy, Tourism, Trade and Management of Community Funds, Ricardo Valente.
