Race to raise public awareness against osteoporosis

The 8th Edition of the Running and Walking for Bone Health took place Sunday, 15 October in Porto.

Overall, hundreds of people took part in the 10 km race and in the 5 Km walking.

This event was organised by the Portuguese Association of Osteoporosis (APO), jointly with Runporto (technical support) and the Municipality of Porto.

According to the organisation, 44 nationalities were represented in the competition, many of which represented by Erasmus+ students.

This ride is held with the aim of raising public awareness of osteoporosis and bone health, as a benefit of practising sports and leading an active life, at whatever age.
