Rave-on: the Days of the Dance Festival is here

The DDD- Days of the Dance Festival kicks off today, 24th April, with the novelty this year of joining the activities programme of FITEI. There will be concurrent shows, masterclasses and conferences in Porto, and in the neighbouring cities of Gaia and Matosinhos.

Today is the first day of the entire programme, which concludes on 12 May, and the stage at Rivoli opens the DDD agenda with the national debut of the performance «Looping: Bahia Overdub», from Brazil, inspired by the Street celebrations of Salvador da Bahia. The shows is scheduled to start at 10pm.

In fact, Brazil and the work by Brazilian artists is the theme of this years' edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Dancing and the FITEI - International Iberian Festival of Theatre (ongoing till 25 May), which, for the first time joins the DDD for a week's programme special.

The «Semana +» ["Week +", free translation], running from 8 to 12 May, is the result of the intertwining of two festivals, and features a programme devoted to national programming, namely twenty dance and theatre shows.
