Rivoli features "Ensaio para uma cartografia" by Mónica Calle, on 3 and 4 May, in the context of the Festival DDD - Dias da Dança [DDD Festival- Days of the Dance].

"Ensaio para uma cartografia" refers to a performance based on orchestra rehearsals by great conductors and to the aesthetic dance movements of classical ballet, featuring a group of actresses dancing on stage.

This show is for people over the age of 16.

The theatre and set director Mónica Calle, who is also an actress and director of the theatre "Casa Conveniente", began this work in 2014 and she will finish it in 2021, based on Bertolt Brecht's Seven Deadly Sins.

As in Brecht's work, it will take Mónica Calle seven years to conclude this "Cartography", either individually or collectively.

"This performance also involves the building of a family, the quest for a reconnection, trough error, flaw, uncertainty, the inevitability of imperfection, the body's fragility and transformation, as well as the strength, the demand and rigor. Celebrating life. How can one think a city, a country? How do we restart? How do we continue?"
