If there's an art of making attractive cities, Porto masters it! It is a fair statement as Porto is evermore seen as a city that boasts both heritage and innovation.

The April edition of Sawubona, the South African Airways' award-winning in-flight magazine spotlights Porto in a majestic and colourful article. Sawubona is often translated as "hello", but it also means "I see you", which has a more profound and significant meaning. And, indeed, Sawubona "sees Porto", thus the seven page article on how the city is "a place that has a long history" and is "beautiful and very pleasing on the eye".

The in-flight magazine highlights the essentials as well, including when to come to Porto, where to go in the city and how to get around.

The city is compared to other European destinations, but "Porto is even cheaper, certainly prettier and its inhabitants are a lot friendlier". It's no secret that the essential ingredient to making a city enjoyable is the people. As warm and friendly as someone from Porto can be.

Pick Porto and get to know the "mighty" bridges, the Majestic Café, the Wine cellars, the Clérigos Tower, the Lello Bookstore, downtown Porto and the Ribeira.
