Already one of the largest events of contemporary culture in Europe, Serralves em Festa has the party itinerary sorted for you. The party is officially "on" as of June 1st and it will for sure enliven the city with gaiety, buzzing with people from all over the world and creative events.

With warm weather kicking off, partygoers are lucky enough that "Serralves em Festa" is set to happen on 1, 2 and 3 June.

There are plenty of events prepared for this year's edition in Serralves, including 50 hours of non-stop music, dance, circus artists and much more.

The 15th Serralves em Festa is a three-day event and it offers activities for all age groups, in the gardens, in the villa and in the museum's foundation, such as the "Transpor Fronteiras" [Crossing Borders], both in the geographic and artistic way, also the nomadic performance themed "La Parade Moderne", by Yvan Clédat and Coco Petitpierre, jointly with the Costa Cabral Music Academy.

The musical line-up features British band 23 Skidoo, Portuguese Orelha Negra and Mão Verde (Capicua and Pedro Geraldes), the Ethiopian who writes Jazz music while steering the wheel of his cab in Washington, Hailu Mergia, the Portuguese Symphonic Band, or even Nandini Muthuswamy, the Indian violinist and the Italian cellist and songwriter Sandro Mussida, not least Drumming, the percussion band from Porto.

The event delivers the French "Sursauts", by Mathilde Monnier, and "Sur le fil", by the Company Nacera Belaza, in the field of contemporary dance, while "Exit" by Cirque Inextremiste and "Lignes Ouvertes", by Compagnie Basinga, will not go unnoticed.

The 31 May is the warm up party, with some of the artists performing in Santo Ildefonso, in the city centre, as well as in Matosinhos and at the airport.
