Bolhão Temporary Market features showcooking events on the first Saturday of every month. The first professional Chef to make anyone's mouth water this New year is Susana Martins.

The "Chef no Bolhão" initiative is part of the municipal programme "Sábados no Mercado", which offers visitors to the Bolhão Temporary Market different activities each Saturday of every month. On 4 January, Chef Susana Martins, specialist in Baking and Pastry management is the first to welcome visitors to the initiative "Chef no Bolhão": Chef Martins will prepare vinaigrette octopus with cherimoya and pea puree. Dessert includes small red berries wrapped in puff pastry.

This event is organised by the "Gabinete do Mercado do Bolhão" [Bolhão Market Office, free translation], the entity established at the end of 2014 by the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, whose main goal is to closely monitor the transition of both merchants and tenants of Bolhão to the Temporary facilities and also assist them when the time to move to the historic Market comes.

It should be mentioned that the milestone building is undergoing long time due deep renovation work.
