Sixteenth century Jacobus Sacon Bible is on display at MMIPO till 21 January

The Jacobus Sacon Bible Exhibition, a volume of the 16th century, integrating the National Palace of Mafra acquis, is on show at MMIPO - Museu da Misericórdia do Porto.

Dated 1521, this item was lent by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and can be admired by the public in Porto till 21 January.

Jacobus Sacon was a librarian and a printer, born in the French city of Lyon, at the end of the 15th century. He became famous for printing liturgical editions, mostly bibles.
