Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and the Choir of the Faculty of Arts of Porto University will play a concert together to celebrate spring, on April 21 at 9.30 pm.

The concert will present the Piano Concerto No.21 in C major, K.467 by Mozart and "A Symphony to Dante's Divine Comedy, S.109, or simply the "Dante Symphony", a program symphony composed by Franz Liszt.

This symphony was written in a high romantic style, based on Dante Alighieri's journey through Hell and Purgatory, as depicted in The Divine Comedy.

The spring concert will revive, as well, a piano concert of the 18th century, made famous by movie screens.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's piano concerto no. 21 in C major (K. 467), second movement is included on the "Elvira Madigan" film soundtrack, directed by the Swedish Bo Widerberg in 1967.

Maestro Pedro Amaral will conduct the Orchestra, accompanied by the piano soloist Inês Costa who studied at the Royal College of Art in London.

The Choir of the Faculty of Arts will be on stage under José Luís Borges Coelho direction, the founder of the choir since its inception, in 1966.
