A team of the University of Porto recently won two international awards at the Global Student Challenge in Holland, one of the largest competitions in the world in the Supply Chain management and Finance areas.

The students have conquered second place in the Supply Chain Finance category in the competition and the number seven spot overall, standing out as some of the best in the world, among over 10 thousand students of 600 top Universities and Business Schools in the world.

The final stage of the competition ran from 29 April till 4 May, in Zwolle, Holland, where the best teams at international level had to prove their worth after several rounds of activities.

Each team was tasked with solving specific problems applicable to a concrete firm based on the competition mathematical simulator mechanism, comprising a number of fields such as Sales, Procurements, Transactions, Finances and Supply Chain.

The classification results granted the team from the University of Porto access to one of the most internationally recognised and exclusive talent recruitment platform at global level, the Talent Connection.
