The Domain [A Herdade] is a 2019 Portuguese drama film directed by Tiago Guedes. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 76th Venice International Film Festival. It was also selected as the Portuguese entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards.
The film will be screened at Rivoli, on 14th November, at 6.15pm.
The director will attend the session and participate at a talk, following the film screening.
Sadness And Joy In The Life Of Giraffes (Tristeza e Alegria na Vida das Girafas), also directed by Tiago Guedes, will have a preview screening at Rivoli, on the same day, 14th November, at 9.30pm.
This work of fiction is based on the homonymous play by Tiago Rodrigues, "Tristeza e Alegria na Vida das Girafas" and describes the adventure of a little girl and her suicidal teddy bear, named Judy Garland, in search of the lost Discovery Channel. Lisbon is a magical territory, but the crisis is here and one must know how to dodge the black panthers and ask the prime Minister for help.
Director and cast will take part in a talk with the audience.
