The University of Porto sets up Innovation Advisory Board

The University of Porto is focused in maintaining its leadership in terms of booming valuable knowledge both in Portugal and at international level alike. To doing so, the U. Porto has set up a new high-level advisory body composed of professionals with broad experience particularly in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship as well as a strong understanding of the academic and business worlds.

There are 15 members in the newly established Innovation Advisory Board. According to Carlos Brito, Pro-Rector for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, "the mission of this group is to challenge us and to make recommendations which will allow launching new strategies in the context of the work developed by U. Porto Inovação, under the management of Maria Oliveira [U.Porto Inovação coordinator]".

The Advisory Board has had its first work session already and the next step is to implement the recommendations issued by the work group.
