Time Regained by Raúl Ruiz screened at Rivoli

The Small Auditorium of Rivoli features the single session of "Time regained", the 1999 French drama film directed by the Chilean filmmaker Raúl Ruiz from Prout's masterpiece "Le Temps retrouvé", starting at 9.30 pm.

Filmmaker Raúl Riz gathered a superb cast of actors, including Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Béart, John Malkovich, Chiara Mastroianni, Edith Scob, Vincent Perez, Arielle Dombasle and Elza Sylberstein to adapt to the cinema the final volume of In Search of Lost Time, by Marcel Proust. The plot revolves around an anonymous narrator, who reflects on his past experiences while lying on his deathbed.

The film was entered into the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
