Visit these newly renovated steps Porto has to offer

Porto has something for everyone, be it going up and down cobbled ancient streets, strolling in the historic centre, which was classified World Heritage site since 1996, or admiring the Douro riverside, in Ribeira and enjoying the renovated staircase of Cais da Ribeira (Ribeira pier).

The Municipal Civil Protection had closed the staircase, which was built in 2001, in the framework of Porto European Culture Capital 2001, for emergency repairs. Currently, it is a pedestrianised area with access for Bridge Luis I and Cais da Ribeira.

The Municipality of Porto decided to renovate this structure and give visitors this worthy this staircase facing the Douro's stately bridges and port wineries.
