The launch of the new website of “Museu da Cidade” was accompanied by a mupi campaign in the city’s streets and squares. The ongoing pandemic led to the standstill in cultural in-person interactions; thus, the City Museum (Museu da Cidade) launched its new website last 3rd February, as the result of a project that has been presented to the city, a little over a year ago.

Shuttle new edition has been approved by the Municipal Executive early December 2020 and it will be effective until October 2021. The goal is to award artistic creation projects in the Invicta, throughout the year, so as to promote the solidification of artists, cultural agents and spaces’ activities in Porto. The programme includes an increase in the available budget, in a total of 75 thousand euros. To provide financial support to logistic expenses and production costs.

Bring a little joy to your winter evenings with the cycle “Quintas de Leitura”, at the digital stage of Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP), with the celebration of the work by poets Filipa Leal and João Habitualmente. This session is available starting at 10 pm, on 11th February, at TMP online.

Libraries refuse to be defined by lockdown measures and will resume book lending. Porto Municipal Libraries will adopt the take-away regime as regards books, CDs or DVDs, starting today, 9th February.

Medeia Filmes is delivering the “Quarentena Cinéfila” again, amid the second lockdown, with preventive pandemic measures keeping everything closed, but with this initiative on, it is possible to connect movie theatres and audiences. The Cinephile Quarantine resumes on 11th February with films by Bertolucci and Basquiat. In the meantime the “Raridades” special programme is ongoing.

During this second lockdown, accept the invitation by Fonoteca do Porto (Porto Audio Room) and, wile at home, get to know Italian composer Carlo Gesualdo, a sixteenth century composer, who is known for writing intensely expressive madrigals and pieces of sacred music. The Fonoteca do Porto continues to share its passion for music by according on Spotify delightful playlists that intertwine the history of music with contemporary culture.
