This year, Porto welcomes Festival Trengo in a different format than usual, as the Trengolas kicks off on 28th August, featuring 20 performances devoted to circus arts, which are also included in this year's Porto Book Fair and the programming of Porto Municipal Theatre.

The "Porta Jazz ao Relento" cycle features six free entry concerts in the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal, during Porto Book Fair. The event is held with limited capacity, due to ongoing pandemic. The "Museu da Farmácia", in Porto, hosts a thematic visit under the "Art and Health" topics, on 24th August to mark the Day of the Artist. This tour offers visitors a journey through time and the way art intertwined with health throughout the centuries.

The Palácio de Cristal landscape hosted the "Noites do Palácio" initiative every Friday and Saturday, from 31st July to 22nd August. The last performance of this initiative took Rui Veloso to the stage on 22nd August. The long established musician from Porto has come indoors, in the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, and shared a feeling of collective pleasure. We share some of those moments with you.

The UP- Centro de Competências em Envelhecimento Ativo e Saudável, aka Porto4Ageing, jointly with the Santa Misericórdia do Porto, promotes digital inclusion in older adults through face-to-face training in the framework of the European project ICTskills4All. The goals are as simple: learning basic digital skills for basic tasks, such as sending an email or navigating the internet.

When temperatures rise and the weekend looks promising, what better place to go to in the evening than the "Noites do Palácio" event, in the Gardens of the Palácio de Cristal, in Porto? Blind Zero and Rui Veloso take to the stage, on 21st and 22nd August, respectively, at 9pm.

The free outdoor cinema cycle is back this summer, but it won't travel the city, due to the pandemic. Instead, it is set at the Monte Aventino's court and benches to ensure all safety measures are in place.The trill continues on 21st and 22nd August, with "Sonic- The Movie" and "My Spy", respectively, a sure bet for children and grown-ups alike. Sessions start at 10pm.

The municipal network for Environmental Education in Porto invites for an evening with bats on 21st August, at 8.30pm, at the Centro de Educação Ambiental do Núcleo Rural, in the City Park. This session is devoted to get to know this night creature and dispel myths about this nocturnal flying mammal. Bat tourism is essential as it helps preserve bat's habitat and raise awareness on the important role these mammals play in ecosystems as pollinators, insectivores and frugivores.
