Ten ventilators offered to the city public hospitals by Porto City Hall

Porto City Hall purchased 10 invasive ventilators in Shenzhen and delivered them to the city hospitals, to treat severe covid-19 patients. The ventilators were bought in Shenzhen, to a state of the art hospital equipment company, through the channels established by the Municipality of Porto.

The existing contingency measures will be maintained in Porto till 17th April, by rule of the Mayor

Rui Moreira determined on 7th April that the contingency measures in place would remain active till 17th April, the day the Emergency State ends in Portugal, without prejudice to further guidance.

Guindais Funicular railway temporarily closes starting 8th April

The Guindais Funicular will temporarily close, starting tomorrow, 8th April. During this period, regular passenger transport, with transport passes, will be ensured by taxi services, but to these regular passengers only.

Mission Hospital Porto. received individual protective equipment on 6th April

The hospital's logistics is set, the current work regards the medical equipment in place so that the hospital can receive the first Covid-19 patients. The protective equipment, such as various types of masks, protection goggles and suits were offered by several companies, like the Fosun Foundation, Gestifute, La Perla and KMJ.

The Municipality of Porto approved a donation of 45 ventilators to the city hospitals

The Municipal Executive approved unanimously, this morning, the donation of 45 ventilators to the city hospitals, with 20 units delivered to Santo António Hospital and 25 units to the São João Hospital.

COVID-19: 1400 people were tested at nursing homes in Porto
