The city of Porto launched a mupi campaign to raise awareness on the importance of complying with the preventive measures regarding the fight against Covid-19. This is the latest advertising by the Municipality of Porto, owing to the pandemic. These messages are meant to reach broader audiences and disseminate the effective message that every individual behaviour makes a difference and has great collective impact in the fight against the new coronavirus.

For the third consecutive year, Porto Tennis Club hosts the International wheelchair Tennis Tournament. The competition kicked off on 19th October and concludes today, 21st October. The event is included in the ITF Futures Series, and it athletes from different nationalities, namely Portugal, Brazil, Austria, Holland, Italy, Greece and France.

During the 2020/2021 season, the REMUPI, the Municipal Network of pools managed by Ágora, still offers happy hours during the afternoon, with discounts of circa 50%. This promotion is aimed at users with the "free transit" modality (pool and gymnasium).

The Theatre Carlos Alberto premières "Folle Époque", on 22nd October, at 9pm, a performance by the Collective SillySeason. The show will be on stage until 25th October and it offers "a parallel between present time and an era of prosperity and bankruptcy".

The definition of the performance that takes to the stage at the auditorium of Theatre Campo Alegre, on 24th October, at 7pm is themed "Jaguar". But this theme extends to other interpretations; Marlene Monteiro Freitas and Andreas Merk stage a dance performance and a puppet theatre and activate individual feelings and notions that will have universal meaning.

Portugal conquered, for the first time, the Ecotrophelia Europe competition, in the field of agri-food industry. The team OrangeBee was the national winner to this European competition for students who come up with innovative products.

The Porto Saudável programme was due to restart this past Sunday, 18th October, but it has been suspended for indefinite duration under the new guidelines of the Public Health authorities.

According to weather forecasts, the adverse meteorological conditions will extend till the first hours of 21st October, Wednesday. The Municipal Civil Protection has issued a warning on persistent and high level of precipitation.
