Camellia full bloom in Porto for our joy

Spring is just around the corner! In the meantime enjoy camellia full bloom in Porto. The exhibition opening is set for 7th March, at 2.30pm, at Porto Customs, and it will, once more, award the Best Camellia and the Best Portuguese Camellia and the Best Table Decoration. Winners will be announced at 3.30pm, following the opening of the exhibition. All activities are access free.

Lamb take to the stage at North Music Festival

The best of Rock and Indie in Porto happens on 22nd and 23rd May, with the North Music Festival, at the Customs Building. The next announced band is Lamb (Lou Rhodes and Andy Barlow).

Direct flights from Porto to Sal, starting this June

Starting 20th June, the Portuguese national airliner TAP will operate a night flight, connecting Porto and Sal, in Cabo Verde. This will be a regular route (departure from Porto at 10.25pm, on Saturdays, and arrival at Sal at five past midnight, on Sundays. Return flights arrive in Porto at 7.55am, that same day.

Hollywood Icons arrive in Porto tomorrow

"Hollywood Icons" exhibition takes to Portuguese Photography Centre, in Porto, tomorrow, 6th March. It is the amazing chance to appreciate the portraits of Hollywood gold; actors and actresses that make Hollywood the place where stars are born. The exhibition kicks off on 6th March and runs till 7th June. Opening hours are from 10am to 7pm. There are guided tours and tickets cost 6 euros.

The University of Porto is among the World Best Universities in 22 study areas, says QS World University Rankings

The 2020 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject lists the University Of Porto (UP) among the top 400 Best Universities in the world in 22 study areas. The highlight is the enhancement of UP in the World Top 100 in Architecture, Sports, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering, consolidating UP's position at international level regarding Higher Education.

Senior citizens take to stage as "real" actors! It's a grown up project!

Itinerary to Souto de Moura's work: the goal is to bring the general public closer to the work of one of the most prize-winning and recognized Portuguese architects of this era, organised by the Casa da Arquitectura and running from March to September. The first visit takes place on 28th March, at 11am, and it includes the project Metro do Porto.
